Born in Jerusalem Israel, Yoav Horesh has exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries and museums including in Germany, Italy, Israel, the United States, Hong Kong and also with Amnesty International. Yoav’s work was featured, written on and published in magazines, art journals and websites across three continents and he has given public lectures/artists talks in art schools, universities and galleries in The United States and Europe.
Yoav’s work is part of the collection of The Addison Gallery for American Art, Museum of New Art in Michigan and included in many private collections. Horesh has received various awards, commissions and grants including the Agnes Martin Award, The Projektraum-Bahnhof25 residency award and the Mortimer Frank Grant.
For the past two decades, Yoav has worked on water, landscapes and street photography serieses, as well as projects that deal with conflict, human tragedy, memory and recovery in Israel, Laos, The Gaza Strip the American Southwest, and in Europe.
Horesh holds a diploma from The New England School of Photography, a BFA in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and an MFA from Columbia University in New York.
Yoav is currently a Professor of Photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s in Hong Kong.
